About The Course

In this introductory online course, you will learn the basics of the piano keyboard, note names, hand positions and finger numbers, note values and rhythm, and more! By the end of the course, you will be able to play songs with both hands together, applying the knowledge gained of piano theory and technique. Included with the course is nearly two hours of on-demand video lessons, a comprehensive lesson book, quizzes and activities that help reinforce concepts learned. These tools successfully equip students for later courses that expand into next concepts, including how to read notes on the staff. (Note: this course does not introduce the music staff or staff notation, but rather the helpful basics that come before learning the staff).
